What is Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a form of optic neuropathy (disease of the optic nerve which carries messages from the eye to the brain) associated with characteristic changes on the optic disc which is the visible part of the optic nerve and visual fields.

In majority of time glaucoma is associated with raised fluid pressure within the eye and there is a small percentage of the eyes develop glaucoma with normal eye pressures.

Left untreated glaucoma can lead to tunnel vision
